Male friend wanted in rape case

According to Mogoditshane police, the woman told officers she had gone out Friday night with her Zimbabwean male pal to celebrate his birthday at a drinking spot in Block 6.
It was during the outing that the two consumed alcohol, but the victim told investigators she only remembered the time they spent drinking.
However, she could not recall what happened afterwards or how she ended up in a guesthouse.
Mogoditshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Mbiganyi Letsholathebe confirmed the incident.
He explained the woman reported that she woke up half-naked, sharing a bed with her friend, and felt she had been sexually violated.
“After leaving the guest house, she went to report the matter to the police,” Letsholathebe said.
“We have since launched a probe to locate and arrest the suspect, her friend, whom she identified as a Zimbabwean national. Asked if they were dating, the victim said they were only friends and she was shocked to wake up next to him.”
He added that the victim was taken to Nkoyaphiri Clinic for medical examination as investigations continue.
