The song is a melodic folk-inspired tune that blends acoustic guitar with cultural percussion and orchestral elements. In an interview, artist shared that the idea behind 'Marago Kgosing' was to create a unique sound that showcases Botswana's rich cultural heritage. The song tells the traditional way of dikgosi choosing women with the biggest behind for queenship. It also highlights the importance of polygamy in the past. Teacobouy started his music journey in 2009, learning guitar and music production. He formed his current band Sempekhubidu in 2017.

He has been performing live since 2011. As a solo artist, he is managed by Black Gypsy.

The song features Teacobouy on lead vocals and guitar, accompanied by Tebogo Botlhole on percussion, Elaine Ramsden, Black Charm, Masego Babeele, and Lelentle Buzwani on backing vocals.

The song was recorded at Amp-Prez Gemtrackz Studio in Tlokweng and written, arranged, and produced by Teacobouy.

Teacobouy expressed his gratitude to his team, including his manager Kealeboga Mosekiemang, and supporters, citing the challenges of being a live performer in Botswana.

'Music is at most treated as a pity job, everyone wants a free performer,' he said, calling for leadership that prioritises Music and Performing Arts.

Looking ahead, Teacobouy aims to perform and tour internationally, emphasising the importance of having a backup plan in case music doesn't work out.

'Be cautious if you choose music for a career, always have backup in qualification or work. Guard your sexual & mental health,' he advised.

The music video for 'Marago Kgosing' is already in the works, with Teacobouy and his team conceptualising the next steps.
