The event, a collaboration between St Patrick's Society Botswana and the Art Residency Centre, was a unique fusion of art, wine and music that left attendees in awe.
As patrons sipped fine wine and savored salty snacks and cheese, they were treated to a captivating performance by Cedric, who regaled them with a diverse range of music from local and international artists.
His smooth melodies and effortless transitions between genres kept the crowd enthralled, with some even taking to the dance floor to sway to the beat.
With that, the music was not the only star of the show. The event also showcased an impressive collection of art pieces from 17 members of the Art Residency Centre.
The exhibition featured a diverse range of works, including stunning paintings, framed photographs, pottery, sculptures, and more, created by talented artists such as Ann Gollifer, Mokwaledi Gontshwanetse, Visule Kabunda, Kat Kapture, and Neiso Kgaotsang.
'We were thrilled to see such a large audience turnout despite the cold and drizzling weather,' said a representative from St Patrick's Society Botswana.
'It just goes to show how much people appreciate art, music and good company.'
The event provided a unique platform for art lovers to engage with local artists, appreciate their work, and even purchase pieces that caught their eye.
As one attendee remarked, 'There's nothing quite like enjoying good wine and music surrounded by beautiful art masterpieces. It's truly heavenly.'
The Art Residency Centre's exhibition will continue to be showcased at Linnaeus, Sanitas, providing an opportunity for those who missed the event to experience the beauty of local art.
