Contesting for the seat are Tshepang Brooks of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP), Diana Kaartze of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), Independent candidate Kaveri Kapeko, Joseph Modise of the ruling Umbrella For Democratic Change (UDC) and Phenyo Sedimonyane of the Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF)

At Tsabong Primary School polling station, Presiding Officer Thandi Lesole said she is expecting about 700 voters. “Voters have been here since morning. They came prepared as they knew it would be raining today,” she said in an interview.

Meanwhile, another presiding officer, Samuel Gaseleme, at the Dutch Church polling station, noted that they had prepared their venue in advance to ensure the rain would not disrupt the voting process.
