Woman burnt with boiling water during church dispute

Mogoditshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Mbiganyi Letsholathebe, confirmed that they are investigating a case of 'assault occasioning actual bodily harm'.
He explaine the incident is believed to have occurred in the morning of the same day at Chawa Christian Church, although police only received the report around 9pm on Friday.
“Investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the altercation that led to the 31-year-old woman pouring boiling water on the victim,” Letsholathebe said.
He added that preliminary findings show that the two women reside within the same church premises.
Despite sustaining severe burn wounds, the victim is reported to be in a stable condition.
Police are continuing inquiries into the matter as they are waiting for the victim to recover so that they can hear her version of events.
