Broadhurst police say the deceased, believed to be aged between 30 and 40, was a familiar figure often seen around the Phakalane area and is suspected to have been mentally challenged.

The man, who is estimated to be about 1.4 metres tall, was wearing a grey tracksuit, a navy blue jacket, and a red and white long-sleeved T-shirt labelled Chicago at the time of his death. He was also found with several chains around his neck.

“We are still pleading with members of the public who may have a missing relative to come and identify the corpse of this man,” said Broadhurst Traffic Officer, Assistant Superintendent Matlhogonolo Baraedi.

He said the body is currently lying at Doves Funeral Parlour in Gaborone and can be viewed on weekdays between 7:30am and 4:30pm. Family members who recognise the description or suspect it may be their relative are urged to contact Broadhurst Police for further arrangements.
