BBS Bank rewards loyal customers with thrilling Trolley Dash

The event, held in partnership with Sefalana Shoppers, was part of BBS Bank’s ongoing efforts to give back to customers who continue to trust and bank with them. The initiative offered four winners an opportunity to dash through the aisles and grab as many groceries as they could within a set time limit and all courtesy of the bank.

Although one of the four winners could not make it, the show went on with three participants who wasted no time putting their speed and strategy to the test. In the end, all three walked away with fully-loaded trolleys and wide smiles, as onlookers cheered them on.

Speaking to The Monitor on the sidelines of the event, BBS Bank’s Card Business Manager, Modiri Ramahobo, said the promotion was designed as a heartfelt gesture to reward loyal customers. “At BBS Bank, we believe in our people and in rewarding loyal customers who have been with us for quite a long time,” Ramahobo said. “We asked ourselves, what is it that really matters to people? Beyond shelter and clothing, it's food. It is about how they can feed their families. So we thought a trolley dash would be the perfect way to give back.”

He explained that any BBS Bank customer who used their card at least four times in 14 days during the month of September, leading up to Independence Day, automatically qualified for the draw. A randomiser was then used to select four winners from across the country.

“One of our winners could not make it today, but the others were here, and you could see the excitement, the trolleys were full, the smiles genuine,” he added. Ramahobo hinted that the success of the campaign has encouraged BBS Bank to expand it in the future.

“This is just the beginning. We are looking to make the next editions bigger and better, maybe extend the qualifying period beyond 14 days, and increase the prize value. We have seen how much joy and value this brings to our customers. BBS Bank is for the people, and we will continue to reward our people,' said Ramahobo.
