Passenger dies after fall from moving vehicle

He explained that the deceased was travelling as a passenger at the back of a Toyota Hilux when he reportedly fell off the vehicle whilst it was in motion.

Following the incident, the victim was rushed to Kang Primary Hospital, where he was certified dead by the doctors on arrival.

The 30-year-old driver of the Toyota Hilux is currently assisting the police with investigations.

Mojalemotho urged motorists to prioritise safety when transporting passengers, especially on unsecured loading spaces such as open vehicles.

He further appealed to road users to exercise caution, particularly on gravel and sandy roads, to prevent loss of life.
