The Saturday's second leg tie ended in a 1-1 draw, but it was not enough to take Galaxy through to the next stage of the competition.
Speaking after the match, Galaxy head coach, Sean Connor expressed disappointment over his team's elimination.
He cited their inability to move the ball quickly and create scoring chances as the reasons for their draw.
'We didn't dominate the ball and didn't move the ball quick enough, nor create lots of chances,” Connor bemoaned.
He said his players fought hard in the second half but failed to secure a win by scoring more goals.
The gaffer stated that they will be going back to the drawing boards and make sure they come back better and stronger for the competition next time.
Speaking about the unsporting behaviour portrayed by players during half time, Connor responded that he did not know what transpired.
Meanwhile, ZESCO coach Emmanuel Siwale was thrilled about his team's qualification which was their primary target.
'I am happy for the whole team, starting with our sponsors who gave us everything for preparations,' he said.
'It would have been bad if we had not qualified for the group stage. Playing in the group stage will give the players valuable experience.'
Siwale also acknowledged the challenging conditions, mentioning the heat and its impact on concentration of players.
'We could have lost it just at the end and it's good that we have qualified,' he added.
Siwale also praised Galaxy's captain, Thabang Sesinyi, who received a red card in the second half.
'He is a good player, and if he focuses on his game, he will go far,' he said.
Regarding the alleged use of superstitions like muti, Siwale expressed disappointment. He highlighted that players believe in the use of 'jojo' or 'muti,' forgetting that they have talent.
'I don't encourage that and we don't want our football, especially in Africa, to believe in that. If it helps, then one of our countries should win the World Cup,' Siwale said.
He emphasised the importance of talent and hard work, sharing his personal experience.
'I have played football myself. But if I believed in that, where would that take me? How would I find success in Europe?'
