Ngozi, Mothibi suspended after doping incidents

In a statement, the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) confirmed the immediate suspension of the two, after their samples tested positive for banned substances.
'The BNOC collected samples from Mr. Zibane and Mr. Mothibi during in -competitions tests on 16 and 29 August and 12 April 2025 respectively. The athletes have been informed about the Adverse Analytical Findings (AAF) and their mandatory suspension from sport and associated activities,' the BNOC said through the statement released today.
'The two cases will undergo processing in line with the International Standard of Results Management (ISRM) to determine fair and impartial outcomes,' the statement added. The BNOC said it would not make any further comment on the matter.
