Over the years, BTS has built a solid reputation as one of Botswana’s premier annual deep house events, attracting over 1,500 music lovers each year. Since its inception, the event has remained true to its identity, a celebration of deep house music and the culture that surrounds it.
This year, the organisers have opted for an all-local lineup, a move that underscores their commitment to promoting Botswana’s talent. The roster features a stellar mix of the country’s most respected and emerging names in the scene, including Zino The Neckbreaker, TDO Soulfreak, DJ Kyno, Bats Matash, Blazeknight, Hai Chang, Stixx, Moftee, Booster, Reily D, Hapex Guru, Herb, Lacoste, and Dizzy Dee.
“We decided to go with a fully local lineup to promote and support our own deep house DJs. There is a lot of amazing local talent doing great things, and we want to give them the platform they deserve,' said Kagiso ‘DJ Kyno’ Kusane from the BTS organising team.
Over the past seven editions, BTS has perfected a formula that blends soulful beats, top-tier production, and a laid-back, genuine atmosphere. “If it is not broken, why fix it?” Kyno added. “We have had a formula that works well for us. We just keep improving small things here and there, but the heart of the event remains the same it is all about deep house and that genuine vibe we have had since day one,” he said.
The organisers say everything is in place for a seamless experience, with tight security, ample parking, good food, drinks, shade, and top-quality sound all part of the package. Tickets are available through Webtickets for P150, or P200 at the gate. “All systems are a go and now we just need people to come through and enjoy it with us,” Kyno concluded.
