After suffering a brief stumble in the previous round against Taung Young Strikers, coach Tomas Trucha became a relieved man and ensured that the team maintain their unbeaten run after four rounds of fixtures.

Dinare now sit level on points with log leaders Young Stars, keeping their dream of an immediate promotion to the elite league well within reach.

Trucha, visibly pleased with the response, praised his charges for showing character and maturity after a frustrating setback on the previous week.

“They (players) know what this project is about, so we do not need to tell them, they know. They were very sad and angry when we dropped the points last time against Gilport or Taung Young Strikers.

“So, I asked them to show good reaction and I think people would agree that there was more fire today,” he said.

Indeed, there was fire as despite a shaky start, Dinare drew first blood in the ninth minute when Augusto rose highest to head home Thabiso Serokane’s corner, catching the TSS defense flat-footed.

The Zimbabwean forward then pounced again in the 32nd minute capitalising on a defensive blunder to double the lead after beating the advancing goalkeeper and calmly slotting into an empty net.

The halftime whistle found Dinare comfortably in control with a 2–0 scoreline. TSS tried to claw their way back after the break, and their persistence paid off in the 61st minute when Katlego Bogatsu finished off a slick team move to make it 2–1.

But any hopes of a comeback were swiftly extinguished when Augusto completed his hat-trick six minutes later, curling a low shot into the bottom corner to restore Dinare’s two-goal cushion and seal the three points.

From there, the Ramotswa outfit managed the game with composure, denying TSS any further opportunities and running down the clock like seasoned campaigners.
