In June this year, 38-year-old Ramhago was found lifeless in her bedroom in Ramotswa with both her hands and legs tied up and her mouth gagged. She was found alongside her 18-month-old child, who was unharmed.

Murder suspects have been identified as Fanes Manyewe, a Zimbabwean national and Adriano Caetano, a Mozambican national. On the fateful night of June 5, 2025, the suspects had made away with the victim's car, which was later recovered.

Reached for an interview, Ramotswa Police Station Commander, Superintendent James Moikwathai said they remain hopeful to locate and arrest the suspects who are still at large. He said, despite having heard reports that they were in South Africa, no breakthrough has yet been made.

“The investigations are still ongoing on the matter. We have heard reports that they were seen in South Africa, but we have not located them as yet. But our investigators are working tirelessly with the help of South African police to locate and arrest the suspects,” Bagali said.

On the night of the incident, police received the report from Security Systems personnel who had responded to an alert at the deceased’s residence. Then, upon arrival, the guards knocked (at her door) but received no response. They found the door unlocked and noticed blood stains which led to the deceased’s bedroom.

There, they discovered her lying motionless with her hands and legs tied, and her mouth covered, and reported the matter to the police, but her body did not show any visible injuries.

Moikwathai assured the nation that investigators are working tirelessly to locate and arrest the suspects but pleaded with members of the public to help with any information that could assist their cause.
