Woman, 21, in custody for baby daddy's fatal stabbing

The suspect, identified as Lebopo Kotwe, is said to have visited her 32-year-old partner on the fateful night when a misunderstanding reportedly escalated into a violent altercation.
Mogoditshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Mbiganyi Letsholathebe, said the matter was reported to them just before midnight.
“Upon arrival at the crime scene, police found the man critically injured.
“He was rushed to Nkoyaphiri clinic where he was certified dead on arrival by doctors,” he said, adding that the deceased’s name is being withheld until all family members are informed.
Letsholathebe revealed Kotwe has since been charged with murder and was remanded in custody.
She is expected to appear before the Broadhurst Magistrate's Court for mention on October 6, 2025.
The station head further urged couples to seek professional help when experiencing relationship difficulties rather than resorting to violence.
“Conflicts will always arise, but people should avoid settling disputes through violent means,” Letsholathebe advised.
