TO: Dennis Moesi, an adult male of full legal capacity whose last known address is Maboane and of P O BOX BR 144 Gaborone.
TAKE NOTICE that an application for the removal of your names in the birth certificate of minor child X has been issued against you under the above case number.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT an order has been issued by the High Court that publication of the notice of the application shall be deemed to be good and sufficient service on you. You are required to appear before the Francistown High Court on the 7th October 2025 at 0900 hours to show cause why the following orders sought by the applicant should not be granted.
1. Your names should not be removed from child X birth certificate.
2. That child X should not assume the surname Mmelesi being the mother’s maiden surname.
3. The respondent cannot pay costs if he opposes this application.
4. Further and or alternative relief as the court may deem fit.
If you do not appear, the orders sought may be granted against you in your absence.
Pending the finalization of the application, the applicant has been granted leave to travel in and out of Botswana with the minor child X without the consent of the 1st Respondent.
