Group Finance Manager – Chartered Accountant
Opportunity exists for a highly experienced Group Finance Manager to contribute and take direct responsibility, at a group level in a diverse multinational group, for the holding company and certain subsidiary companies financial management and related functions. Diverse industry and country experience is a specific requirement.
Key requirements:
*Relevant financial degree plus post graduate qualification
*CA qualification with at least 10 years relevant post qualification experience in large commercial multi-national entities ideally having served articles in a ‘’big 4’’ audit firm
*Solid and proven experience required in:
*group financial reporting across a broad spectrum of businesses, providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis;
*financial disciplines, systems, controls and governance;
*planning, budgeting and forecasting;
*technical accounting issues - being fully conversant with IFRS, IAS and the related preparation of company and group annual financial statements under these standards;
*management of group and company annual audit processes;
*treasury including company and group cashflow management, foreign exchange and interest management, internal and external funding and Central Bank requirements relating to cross border transactions;
*calculation and understanding of all relevant corporate taxes (and IFRS compliant disclosure thereof in the annual financial statements), including cross border jurisdictional issues and compliance and the management thereof;
*risk management: identification and analysis, management and mitigation thereof specifically relating to financial, regulatory, group insurance
*management of external and internal stakeholder relationships
*Initiating and managing the successful outcome of IT and related projects as they relate to the company and group finance function
*Experience in holding company entity accounting with the ability to manage a team
*Excellent communication and people management skills
The successful candidate will report directly to the group CFO, offering exposure to all aspects of the businesses. Able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, you will be a self-starter, capable of working well under pressure and thinking on your feet with the ability to give strategic input as required. A hard working individual, happy to roll up your sleeves you will lead by example and get involved with the business. A fully qualified and experienced CA is essential, this is not negotiable.
