Tshekiso retains FUB presidency

He now reaches the third term as president of the union, which exists to fight for the welfare of professional football players’.

Tshekiso is deputised by former Township Rollers midfielder, Lesego Molemogi, who retained his position as first vice president.

Former Mares captain and Double Action legend and current head coach, Bonang ‘Bebeto’ Mosetlha, has also managed to keep her position as the second vice president.

On the other hand, Thapelo Radifalana will continue to serve as the union’s treasurer.

The quartet went into the weekend’s election unopposed.

Joel Mogorosi has been voted as the players’ relations officer whose responsibility will be to represent and strengthen the voice of footballers within the union.

Mogorosi fended off competition from former Zebras midfielder, Tebogo Mothusi for the position.

Meanwhile, Pinkie Segaise is the new women’s football representative in the union. Her election will strengthen the voice of women footballers in the union’s leadership structures.

Segaise was contesting for the position against Thapelo Moshe. Jwaneng Galaxy striker, Thabang Sesinyi is the new male player representative in the union after beating other contenders, Arnold Mampori and Bophelo Kealeboga for the position.

Kgomotso Molefe is the female player representative while Mmoni Segopolo and Benjamin Radimo will serve as player development officer and strategic development officer respectively.

Meanwhile, Chelsea legend and former Cameroon midfielder, Geremi Njitap graced the FUB congress as guest speaker.
