P1m youthpreneur challenge launched at Bonnington North

Young entrepreneurs in the Gaborone Bonnington North constituency will receive capacity building from an initiative by Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, According to a statement, over P1 million will be invested in 35 young business owners in the area through the newly launched GBN Youthpreneur Challenge 2025.
 
Young entrepreneurs in the Gaborone Bonnington North constituency will receive capacity building from an initiative by Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, According to a statement, over P1 million will be invested in 35 young business owners in the area through the newly launched GBN Youthpreneur Challenge 2025.

The challenge is a creation by area Gaborone Bonnington North MP Maipelo Mophuthing in partnership with Market Players. The programme, which kicks off in October, the selected young entrepreneurs before awarding P100,000 in seed funding to the top 10 at a grand pitch finale on October 30, 2025.

The remaining funds will go toward capacity-building, mentorship, and long-term monitoring of participants to ensure sustainability and job creation in the constituency.

Mophuthing described the challenge as a game-changer for the youth, saying it will give them the tools and opportunities to turn their hustles into thriving enterprises.
