The side which is based here managed to collect a point over the weekend following a 1-1 draw against BDF XI. Head coach, Rapelang Tsatsilebe, explained they were currently struggling because of shortage of players but stated that they continue the search to bolster the squad.

He added there are some factors contributing to their struggle including the team’s inability to register some players due to work permit issues.

'We are in pre-season mode because we are still trying to build a team structure and determine how we play so that we can earn points when playing at home,' Tsatsilebe said.

Regarding the game, the coach said they missed a couple of chances which could have sealed the play.

“We would have scored more goals to seal the game, but we are still learning as newcomers, so we have to keep pushing until we get there,' he added.

With three games played, Tsatsilebe said earning a point is a good start for the team.

Meanwhile, BDF XI coach, Mogomotsi Mpote praised his team's performance and also noted that new players deserve to be part of the league.

He further explained that the game was about encouraging players to eliminate opponents and pass the ball effectively. Mpote was not concerned about Calendar Stars earning a point, attributing it to the young and inexperienced players.

'I brought in young players who are still learning and they managed to earn a point because it was not an easy game.

'We will keep pushing them and I am happy that the second half was better,” he added.

However, he said that their main problem was the lack of a final pass hence they need to improve on passing and ball control.
