Kgaodi releases Kusobanje video

Kusobanje is the first track on the album. Kusobanje is a Zulu word that loosely translated means 'it will be fine' or go tlaa siame in Setswana. The video single is already enjoying airplay on GBCTV' s gospel programme as well as Melodi ya Kgalaletso on Botswana Television (Btv).

The Kusobanje video was shot in various locations in Gaborone, including the African Mall, Methodist Church and Village flats along the Tlokweng road. The video has three main acts, one of a street kid, a cheating husband and a young man troubled by his car. The street kid later converts to Christianity and lives a decent life while the cheating husband is sent packing by his wife. He later converts to Christianity and the changed man is accepted back by the wife. Lastly, the car troubled young man is none other than Joel Rebaone Keitumele of the Ntsoro fame now turned Machobane.

Commenting on the new video, Kgaodi said: 'This is a good video that shows the power of God, that if we all turned to Him nothing is impossible. He is our provider and can take care of all troubles as long as we cast our burdens on him.'  The video also features the jazz maestro Lister Boleseng on saxophone. Kgaodi explained that he would feature more artists in his upcoming videos. 'This is our appreciation of the talent God gave us and also to show that as artists we support one another and are united, regardless of the genre we are involved in,' said Kgaodi.

He also informed Showbiz that he is still working to complete other videos and should release a six-track video by May 20.

'I am working round the clock to complete the DVD. It will be a thriller and a good package for my fans,' said Kgaodi.  Meanwhile, the born again Christian, who last year released his debut album Jutaes wa Mosakariota, is engaged in weekend promotional shows in and around Gaborone. He has teamed up with the queen of gospel Tebbie in these shows, which are held every Saturday at the Station mall.

Apart from the promotions, Kgaodi performs in Pentacostal churches during sermons and church activities such as all-night prayers and concerts. He has also performed in Mochudi, Franscistown as well as Orapa. Kgaodi has been invited to perform at the Kanye UCCSA concert and a Johannesburg gospel concert at the end of next month.

'The Joburg concert will enhance my chances of penetrating the South African market. I will also share the stage with SA gospel gurus. I'm excited and patiently waiting to prove that Botswana has talent,' said the elated 24-year-old University of Botswana (UB) social sciences student.
