They have so far scored four goals and yet to concede, beating Township Rollers and Sua Flamingoes on goal difference.

Rollers and Sua Flamingoes are sitting second and third respectively on the log standings but have the same number of points as Galaxy.

The log leaders finished second last season behind Gaborone United despite losing only one game.

This time, under the tutelage of a new gaffer, Sean Connor, they seem to be sending a bold statement early on. Connor has proven himself to be a good mentor after his stint with Matebele FC last season. They face Orapa United this Wednesday in Jwaneng.

Rollers, who were facing challenges ahead of the start of the season, also appear to be ‘cooking’ something behind the scenes after registering two important victories.

Many had written Rollers off ahead of the start of the season mainly due to their fallout with previous investor, Sebata Holdings.

A mass exodus of key players was anticipated although they lost the likes of Mbatshi Elias, Mogakolodi Ngele and Segolame Boy among others, they also managed to retain Marcell Papama, Mothusi Cooper and Mosha Gaolaolwe.

They started their campaign with a win against Matebele before they narrowly beat Morupule Wanderers away from home. They have scored four goals and conceded one. This Wednesday, Rollers will take on Black Lions in what is expected to be a highly emotional encounter.

Rollers’ previous investor, Sebata Holdings are the new owners of Black Lions and the separation between Sebata and Rollers has been characterised by accusations and counter accusations.

Whether the tension between the two will spill onto the field will be confirmed this Wednesday as Black lions look for their first win of the season while Rollers look to extend their winning streak.

Sua Flamingoes on the other hand showed their true potential last season. This time around, they appear even stronger after acquiring the likes of Boy from Rollers. They have so far collected six points on the road and travel to Francistown this Wednesday to face TAFIC.

Defending champions, GU’s campaign was slightly dented on Friday night when they played to a 1-1 draw with Nico United. This Wednesday, they will away to Santa Green, who are currently doing relatively well in their maiden Premier League season.
