When announcing his 27-man squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Ramoreboli said Orebonye has done so well for himself in Africa which cuts him above most of the local footballers. Orebonye has won CAF Confederations Cup and CAF Super Cup during his stint in Algeria with USM Alger making him the first Motswana man to achieve that. With such achievements and following his recent move to Moroccan giants, Wydad Casablanca, Ramoreboli reserved a special praise for the towering forward. “He went to the north where he made a mark for himself, where he made a name for himself and I think we need to celebrate Orebonye. And understand that it is not always easy for one to leave the country and make a mark like he did,” Ramoreboli proudly said.

The South African coach commented on Orebonye's move to Wydad. “Maybe very soon you will hear the news that he has signed with another team but I am very proud of him,” he said. He implored local footballers to follow in his footsteps. “I believe that he is a true example and I wish that all of our players can learn from him. He is forever humble, always willing to work hard, always willing to assist and that's the attitude that makes him a better person. All the young boys should take him as a role model,” he said,” the gaffer said. Turning to his squad, Ramoreboli announced a 27-man preliminary side that is set to face both Algeria and Mozambique away in the World Cup qualifiers next week.
