The free three-day events, held on August 8-10 in Setswana and August 15-17 in English, attracted peak attendances of 1,599 and 1,805, respectively, with a total of 43 individuals baptised across both conventions.

The convention programme featured Bible-based videos, discourses, and interviews addressing themes such as “What is Pure Worship?” which emphasised worshiping God according to His standards, “Imitate Those Who Loved Pure Worship!” and “Do You Worship What You Know?” which underscored the importance of grounding beliefs in truth and facts.

Attendees described the sessions as refreshing and spiritually uplifting, with many leaving re-energised by both the content and the warm association with fellow congregants.

A highlight of the English convention was a special visit from representatives of the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ World Headquarters in Warwick, New York. The program also showcased Episode 2 of “The Good News According to Jesus,” an 18-episode video series exploring the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, based on the Gospel accounts.

Presented in two parts on Friday and Saturday, the episode captivated attendees, who were also treated to a preview of Episodes 4-6, set to feature at next year’s convention.

The sense of community was palpable, with emotional farewells marked by warm hugs and tears on the final day. Nearly 500 volunteers contributed to the event’s success, assisting with setup, cleaning, and equipment management before and after the conventions.

The series will conclude with a final convention in Francistown at the Adansonia Hotel, starting today and running until Sunday, presented in Setswana, Kalanga, and Sign Language. Jehovah’s Witnesses invite all to attend and experience the uplifting program for themselves.
