The event is slated for August 30, 2025 at the Rugby grounds in Jwaneng. Its organiser, Mooketsi 'Dj Mox' Moabi told Arts&Culture that the event is designed to engage families, local businesses, and organisations in a day filled with fun, exhibitions, performances, and entertainment, while also raising funds to support a vital cause in the community. 'The Jwaneng Color Carnival & Market Day will be a family-friendly event aimed at fostering community engagement and social responsibility,' Moabi said. It will feature live performances, exhibitions, food stalls, and a color parade that brings joy and entertainment to attendees of all ages. Moabi also explained that proceeds from the event will be used to support underprivileged pupils of Sese Primary School. 'We will use the money to buy uniform and stationery for vulnerable children, ensuring they have the items they need to thrive in their education,' he said.

Moabi stated that the carnival offers something different to the Jwaneng community in terms of entertainment. He noted that often times, such events are only seen in the capital city and he wanted to bring such an event to Jwaneng to also prove that it is possible to host this kind of event in towns.

A vibrant lineup of DJs, including female DJs Mis J, Fizz, Olav Shiz, and Hottie, will take center stage to prove that women can headline events too. They will be joined by Djs Eddie Megas- Fabolous, Anthem, Boris, Twins, Madkin, Mthi and DJ Mox on the decks. MC Babe Police will be the host alongside MC Mr Nice Guy. Kids are expected to pay P100 which comes with a t-shirt.
