Woman nabbed for possession of illicit drug in Tsolamosese

No.12 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Mmoloke Sebako, confirmed the Saturday evening arrest, saying the suspect was found with 50 grammes of the substance following a police tip-off.
“The methcathinone was wrapped in 19 small sachets, which we strongly suspect were meant for sale.
“Like we had been tipped off, indications are that the woman was indeed trading in illicit substances,” he said.
Sebako added that the suspected drugs have since been taken to the laboratory for weighing and further analysis, whilst investigations into the matter are ongoing.
The police chief further revealed that the suspect is expected to appear before the Broadhurst Magistrate's Court soon, where she will face a single count of possession of illicit substances.
