Amantle Brown releases love-themed video for Taxi Ke Mahala

The piece, which was released four months back, is a love-themed track while the video is set in a dry grass area resembling a forest clearing. In the video, Amantle Brown appears in German print attire and a hairstyle of large knots, with the environment providing a natural backdrop for the performers. The Choreographers, a local dance group, perform the main dance sequences.
Azonto, a member of the group, reflected on the collaboration, saying: “Working with Amantle on the project was a new experience for us, and we only have positive reflections. We appreciated the opportunity and the process.”
Amantle Brown described the purpose of the project, noting the connection between the song and its visual interpretation.
“This song is a love story, but I wanted the video to reflect cultural identity and expression through movement,” she said.
The talented artist also commented on working with the dance group, specifically commending Azonto for his leadership during the shoot.
“I appreciate the team’s effort and commitment. Azonto’s leadership helped keep everyone coordinated and focused,” Amantle Brown added.
Director LP directed the video, framing the performers within the open landscape.
The natural setting allows the choreography and Amantle Brown’s performance to remain central, without constructed or urban backdrops.
The video highlights visual storytelling through dance and movement, showing how performance and music can be combined effectively in a minimalist environment.
