In an interview, Shve Beatz explained that the album comprises 11 songs and features local music talents such as Veezo View, Zeus, Jackalass Onetym, Ban-T, Kay Ter, Odta Tyger and Terxy JRC. He explained that they teamed up to make a collaborative project since their birthdays are three days apart, so the installment was their birthday gifts to their fans.
'Features were limited, and the selection was based on who could perform better on the selected sound and or beats. The collaborations were really important as they attracted more listeners,' he said.
Speaking of the inspiration behind the album, he said it was to make up music that brought hope, trust in the process, and an inspiration to the listener from the beats to the lyrics. He explained that RockaFella being a motswako artist, was also inspired by the late Botswana Rap Giant, Dramaboi. He (RockaFella), therefore, gave himself a new name, “new age Dramaboi”, continuing the legacy of preaching through the verses he lays down. He added that RockaFella aimed to make timeless music that would forever be cherished, an album that would claim a higher spot on the Botswana hip hop scene.
He added that the album was also inspired by the first album by Fella Kuti, saying as the executive producer, he had always been a fan of RockaFella and knew the sound he was into, and during the making of the album he would go back to the first Fella Kuti to go and listen then try replicate the same sound.
'As it is his biggest album by so far, we were trying to give out to the fans what they fell in love with, adding new skills and spices here and there. Another thing that inspired RockaFella is his day-to-day life, the struggles he stumbles upon, and the things he faced to where he is right now, turning all those events into poetry and art. The reception of the album has been a great one, compared to the past releases and other current leases, it accumulated a gross of 13,000+ streams on the first 48 hours. This shows that the people are really engaged, and we hope for it to grow as time goes on,' he said.
On feature projects, Shve Beatz said they are planning on making a Deluxe of the album, himself as an artist. Individually, he said he is working on a couple of collaborative projects with artists. At the moment, he said he is set to release new music later this year and early next year, a visualizer of track number two, titled Botshelo 2.
