BBNaija’s double eviction drama as Danboskid, Ibifubara are booted out

Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu asked a cool and calm, newly-evicted Danboskid if his connection with Zita was real, to which he said without hesitation: “It is.”

When asked if he wanted to further pursue the romance once Zita was out of the house, Danboskid replied: “Hopefully, if she doesn’t leave me, because she has said she doesn’t want to be in a relationship – she’s scared to be in one.”

So what’s next on the cards for him? “Before I came here I wanted to be a top-world actor,” he said, which saw Ebuka ask if Nollywood should watch out.

“They already are watching. They need to watch more of me,” replied the confident Danboskid.

Next to go was Ibifubara, who told Ebuka she was having a bit of a rough time before eviction.

“This week has been a little off for me, I’ve been a little lonely. I felt like I was putting a lot of me into friendships and it wasn’t really being reciprocated,” she said.

Ibifubara also shared her next steps: “I have so many things planned out, like a podcast and I want to be a creative director for clothing and hair. You’ll definitely, definitely hear from me.”

It was quite the climax to what Ebuka described as “a very chaotic week”. As he said about the housemates and their conduct in week two: “You can see that they are starting to lose their cool one after the other. They better sit tight because they still have a long way to go.”

True words indeed, as 27 people still remain in the house, fighting it out over the highest-ever BBNaija prize money: an incredible N150-million.

This week’s Head of House (HoH) was Victory, living up to his name. He had snatched the throne from Thelma Lawson during the challenge (remember, each week the HoH will have to defend their throne against challengers). He then chose Joanna as his houseguest, leaving the two of them safe from eviction this week.

After a devastating wager loss in their first week, housemates made up for it by winning the wager in week two (courtesy of Team Meat-Based Diet, who beat out Team Plant-Based Diet to draw up the grocery list and run the kitchen). The housemates also had the chance to vote for the Most Influential Player of the Week – and that honour belonged to Rooboy.

What does this week hold for Biggie’s 10s? Only time will tell, but Ebuka had some closing words for them during the live eviction show: “The fact that you survived this week doesn’t mean you’re the strongest – maybe you avoided eviction by one vote. Y’all better wake up because it’s a marathon, not a sprint.”
