In the first incident, a 52-year-old man of Sesinyi Ward in Paje was allegedly attacked, assaulted, and robbed by three men whilst walking home alone from a local bar.
Confirming the incident, Serowe Police Station commander, Superintendent Poloko Oteng, said the attackers made off with the victim’s mobile phone valued at P850 and P200 in cash.
“We have launched investigations to locate the suspects who are still at large,” Oteng said.
In another incident that occurred on the same night in Ditimamodimo Ward in Serowe, a 19-year-old boy was also attacked under similar circumstances. He was reportedly attacked by four men whilst walking home alone from a bar around midnight.
“The suspects used force to rob the young man of his mobile phone worth P1,000 and fled. We have not arrested anyone in all of the cases, but investigations are ongoing,' he said.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to come forward.
