Well done! Well done Mogolole! A good, faithful servant

The time for mogolole to answer to a higher calling has come. He has finished the race that was ordered for him, like Christ on the cross we can say Tetelestai...we mourn a humble man, we mourn a faithful cadre, and we mourn a true leader. Well done, Mogolole, you have conquered the test of life by your character.
I have known Dr Micus Chimbombi as an experienced Vet, senior public servant, and I would later know him as a politician. Dr Chimbombi was appointed a senior Minister in early November 2024, and I became his Assistant Minister. He was a man of integrity, a teacher, and a true patriot. For the shortest time we worked together, I learnt that a leader consults on everything. Chimbombi will never do anything without tapping my mind on it, or briefing me. Yes, mogolole ene ele motho le “morero”(He consulted a great deal). He ran his race as a morally upright man, all moral values defined mogolole; kindness, love, respect, honesty, caring, courage, and responsibility. That was him, that was Dr Micus, for that we say Well done Cde, well done mogolole, for heaven has gained a good and faithful servant.
Nna le Mogolole rene re eteletse pele dikgaolo tsedi haphegileng, kgaolo ya gagwe ya Kgalagadi South, ke kgaolo ee humile leruo, dihutshane le dikgomo, fa kgaolo yame ele kgaolo ya temo. We had a common dream, a dream to connect production to the market. To connect Mosisedi, Mmalore, Metlobo havest with the Kgalagadi market to feed Livestock le go dira dijo, we had a dream to connect Kgalagadi livestock production to the market, Botswana Meat Commission(BMC). It is on this dream that we propounded an idea of the Mmathethe-Metlobo-Bray-Werda road. This is an old road, a road with a rich history of Botswana’s meat production. Betsho, this vision lives on, I submit to you, Mr President and Cabinet Ministers here present that this road be named after this hero who was amongst them who delivered a new Botswana. I pray that this route be named Dr Micus Chimbombi Highway as a memorial for him who served with diligence, who served with passion, and who served with peace. Well done mogolole, you have been a good and faithful servant. Though it is difficult to accept a loss of such a resource in Dr Chimbombi, we find solace in the story of the English clergyman and a successful businessman in the name of Horatio Spafford, he lost everything, but he kept the faith and wrote this song ‘when peace like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll, whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul’
To you, Mma Chimbombi, Ame and husband, siblings to Dr Chimbombi and the entire family: David writes in the 27th chapter, verse 10 of Psalms: lefa Mme le Ntate baka ntlogela, Jehova otlaa ntshola. A Modimo a le tlhokomele, tlaleng a lefe bogobe, sellong ale gomotse. A Modimo alo phatsimisetse sefatlhego sa gagwe mme alo neele kagiso. Fa ele mogolole ene, o sepela le Morena, o tsere kgang e ntle nae, o mo goga ka seatla, o mo phophotha legetla a re “Well done, well done my good and faithful servant”.
Good night mogolole, we shall meet in the morning, yes, we shall meet on that bright and cloudless morning, we shall meet when the Trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time be no more, yes, we shall meet...
Rest mogolole!
