The company has set its sights on Southern Africa and beyond, as well as targeting other sporting codes besides football.
ZoneTwo was officially unveiled last month as the technical sponsor for both clubs. The move marks a major leap for the brand, which also operates in the printing space but is now planting firm roots in sports apparel. Speaking to MmegiSport, ZoneTwo Marketing Officer Thato Tladi said the brand is geared for continental expansion. 'The goal is for ZoneTwo to be the top sports brand in Africa, starting strong in Southern Africa with quality, authentic gear. We see ourselves going beyond football into netball, athletics, and other sports, making sure all our athletes are looking sharp, equipped with gear that allows them to vigorously train, run, and conquer whenever, wherever,' said Tladi.
The brand made a statement of intent by snapping up GU and Rollers right out of the gate. Tladi said the reception has been strong, with fans already warming up to the locally made kits. 'These two sporting institutions are intertwined into the fabric of our country's football and are more than just clubs. Getting them was more than simply displaying a well-designed kit. We devoted a great deal of time to listening, comprehending their amazing heritage, and exchanging ideas about what we could create together,' Tladi said.
So, what makes ZoneTwo different? Tladi says it comes down to authenticity, design, and quality tailored for African football.
'We do not take any short cuts. High-end, performance-driven materials that are breathable, long lasting, and designed to endure the particular demands of playing football in African climate are what we are talking about when we talk about our fabric,' he said.
Supporters have not been left out either. The brand is making it easier for fans to access official merchandise. 'It is our utmost mission to make sure that supporters are met with convenience. Thus, replicas will be made easily accessible everywhere across the country. Replicas will be available on game days via pop-up malls as well as retail sports and club houses,' he said.
