TAFIC optimistic despite exodus

TAFIC chairman, Tumelo Toteng, said despite the players' and coach's departure, the team is stronger than ever. He said that the team will be reinforced by the arrival of quality players from abroad. 'We have been working tirelessly to strengthen our squad, and I'm thrilled to say that we are expecting some exciting new signings,' he said.
He stated that with the calibre of players they have on board, he was confident that they would make a strong statement in the upcoming season. TAFIC has identified foreign players who will replace the Democratic Republic of Congo trio of Jean Lwamba, Manda Nongo, and Kazadi Gauthier, who will depart the club. The team also lost head coach, Elias Chinyemba to Orapa United, but Toteng is optimistic that the new coach, Mandla Mpofu, will lead the team to success. 'Our training resumed on Wednesday, and the new coach has already met with the entire team,' he said.
Mpofu was unveiled as the team's new coach during a recent TAFIC gala dinner. Toteng said that everything looks promising, and they are excited about the prospects of the new season. In addition to the new players and coach, TAFIC is also set to unveil a new kit and sponsor soon. 'We are working on launching a new kit that will reflect our team's identity.
