Latlhang overcame two opponents on her way to the semi finals before she bowed down to the eventual champion, Djajalie Klaudia in the last four category.

The achievement sets her apart as the only athlete from Botswana to attain two international events podium finishes in the Billiards discipline. Latlhang was also part of the Botswana national team that scooped silver medals at the All Africa Pool Association Blackball Championships held in South Africa two years ago. Botswana had sent four players to the inaugural competition with two taking part in the Blackball Billiards discipline while the other two took part in the Heyball discipline. In the Blackball discipline, Latlhang was joined by Oduetse 'Madudu' Rasebeka, who competed in the male category. Rasebeka was eliminated in the first round but proved he is one for the future.

Boineelo 'Kizza' Moleofi from Kopong village, who just recently participated in a lucrative Heyball event in China recently, also travelled with the team to Mauritius to take part in the same discipline. She also bowed down in the first round. Team captain, Tlamelo Maphanyane also took part in the Heyball discipline but in the male category. He faced off one of the tournament favourites and eventual winner, Ceaser Chandiga of Uganda. Maphanyane showed his class and discipline on the table, taking an early lead but was eventuall overpowered and lost 7-4 in the first round. The Ugandan went onto to defeat global superstar, Chris Melling on his way to winning the gold medal.
