Chiefs flex muscle in transfer market

Magosi, who dominated the late 2000's era, claimed the 'galaticos' approach of signing in the market as they went after the league's top talents. The return of a muscling Chiefs in the market is on the horizon after the club confirmed high profile arrivals this week whilst the Kgatleng giants pursue a long list of hot targets. This week, Chiefs confirmed the capture of Comoros' forward, Ibroihim Youssoff from African Stars in Namibia.
The new Chiefs' number nine comes highly rated after an impressive turnout at the just-ended COSAFA Cup and has penned a two-year deal. In addition, Magosi have sealed the signing of goalkeeper, Kabelo Maphakela from sworn rivals, Township Rollers. The shot-stopper was on loan at Chiefs until January and he is now returning on a two-year contract. In addition, Chiefs recruited Kgotso Phuti from Extension Gunners and full back, Thabang Selebogo from VTM FC. The four signings are sending warning signs to Chiefs' fellow league rivals before the start of the 2025–2026 FNB Premiership season.
Magosi though not officially confirmed by the club, are said to be hot on the heels for the signature of Rollers' centre half, Mosha Gaolaolwe. Fanta's contract at Rollers has run out and he has attracted a host of clubs including Chiefs and Jwaneng Galaxy. Chiefs are also said to be after play marker, Theo Shadikong form TAFIC and fellow teammate Shanganani Ngada. Tshepo Malgas, Thato Kebue, Gape Thibedi, Rebaone Joseph, Thabang Sesinyi, Tebogo Ishmael, and Chicco Molefe are also said to be on Magosi's wishlist.
If all targets are secured, Magosi could be a force to reckon with in the next campaign. The team has parted ways with 14 players including Kennedy Amutenya, Cebo Meyiwa, Bogosin Mfila, and Pako Gaofose. Meanwhile, Orapa United have begun their transfer business with the acquisition of the defensive duo of Kemoneetswe Mmangwedi and Thabo Babutsi from TAFIC and Rollers respectively.
