Pedestrian dies in Mahalapye–Shoshong road mishap

The deceased, 53, met his fate when an oncoming Audi A3 fatally crashed onto him.

Mahalapye Central Police Station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said the accident occurred at 6:30pm near Mphampha Shopping Complex.

'He was rushed to Mahalapye hospital where he later succumbed to the injuries around 9am whilst receiving treatment. He had sustained serious head injuries,' Ranku said.

The station head implored motorists to be cautious of pedestrians, especially when driving next to areas that people visit with high numbers like malls and schools to mention but a few.
