UB murder suspect to be arraigned tomorrow

Botswana Police Service (BPS) has released a statement that they have swiftly nabbed the the suspect after fleeing the scene immediately after committing the murder.
'Following the murder of a 47-year-old Motswana woman of Mokatse village that occurred at the UB yesterday morning, a 37-year-old Motswana man of the same village was arrested in Gaborone last night,' BPS said in a statement.
'As police investigations continue, the suspect who is alleged to be the boyfriend of the deceased is scheduled to appear before Extension II Magistrate Court tomorrow,' BPS further said.
Though the police are unable to share the suspect's name for now, he has since been identified as Bantshuti Nkgarapi. The deceased had been granted a restraining order against the suspect by the Mochudi Magistrate Court in April 2025.
