A platform to inspire, empower, uplift

My name is Omphemetse Olebile Bosaakane, a 31-year-old Motswana woman currently living in Ireland, and I am honoured to share that I have joined the Miss/Mrs Africa Ireland 2025 pageant, which will take place on August 30, 2025. This opportunity is more than just a competition for me — it is a platform to inspire, empower, and uplift others, especially young people from back home in Botswana. Growing up, I often saw how many people, especially young girls, struggled with confidence, identity, and believing in their dreams.

I also understand what it means to chase your goals in the face of obstacles. That’s why I’ve chosen a project very close to my heart — “Embrace Your Beauty, Ignite Your Dreams.”

Through this initiative, I aim to remind people that confidence knows no status, and that true beauty comes from self-love and believing in your worth.

My message is simple: no matter where you come from or what your background is, you deserve to dream big — and to work hard to make those dreams come true.

I am also passionate about education and encouraging our youth to excel in their studies. Education is one of the most powerful tools we can use to change our lives and our communities.

That’s why I’ve already started my journey by working with Tsetsebjwe Secondary School, where I spoke to the students about believing in themselves, valuing education, and embracing their unique beauty and identity.

This journey is not just mine — it belongs to all of us. I carry the flag of Botswana with pride, and I want the world to see the strength, grace, and potential that exists in our people.

As I prepare for the Miss/Mrs Africa Ireland 2025 pageant, I humbly ask for support from fellow Batswana, both at home and abroad. I also welcome sponsorships and partnerships to help grow this project and reach even more schools and communities.

Let us come together to show the world that Batswana are bold, beautiful, intelligent, and unstoppable when we support each other. I am proud to represent you, and I hope to make you all proud on that stage — not just with a crown, but, with purpose.

Dumelang, Batswana – ka lorato.
