Teen fatally stabs stepfather

According to No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae, they received the report of the murder incident on Saturday night around 10pm.
“Initial reports suggest that there was a heated dispute between the mother and the stepfather. It is alleged that the stepfather attempted to assault the woman with an object when the teenage girl intervened from behind and stabbed him with a knife,” Lokae told The Monitor.
The motive behind the fight has not yet been established and investigations are ongoing to determine what exactly transpired that night.
Lokae said the teenage girl, aged 15, is currently in police custody receiving support from social workers as part of the investigation process.
'The deceased was certified dead by the doctors upon arrival at Extension 2 Clinic,' Lokae said.
'I am pleading with members of the public to seek peaceful resolutions to domestic issues and for families to reach out for help when facing ongoing conflict at home to avoid these kinds of unfortunate cases where lives are lost.'
