Driver perishes in vehicular accident

The deceased had allegedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree, police revealed.

No.12 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Berman July, said they received the report of the accident around 9pm.

'The deceased's vehicle had four people on board. They were going to Sikwane village after attending a football match in Gaborone that afternoon,' he told The Monitor.

'One of the passengers, a 32-year-old woman sustained a fractured leg and is currently hospitalised at Deborah Retief Memorial Hospital.'

July added that two other passengers – all in their 20s – had sustained minor injuries and received treatment before being discharged the same night.
