Garogwe said the single, which he composed and produced was recorded at Soul Haven Production. He further explained that the single is not just a song but a heartfelt prayer, and an earnest cry to the heavens. He said that when all his efforts had unravelled and fell from a distance, he implored God. “My life is in your hands, and I beseech you to intervene. Transform my story, for I am weary of waiting in silence and clapping for others. Use me as a vessel of your mercy and strength, so that through my journey, all may witness your boundless compassion. Let the world see that you are a God who answers prayers, turning despair into hope, darkness into light. With unwavering faith, I boldly ask for your divine intervention, knowing that in your timing, miracles unfold,” he said.
He said, just like any other artist, artistic work is not easy without proper structures and funding. The 45-year-old Afro Jazz singer, music producer, composer and songwriter from Digawana has 25 years of music experience. He started his music career as a gospel artist and became a music producer under Soul Haven Productions, before eventually turning to Afro jazz in 2010. Speaking about his achievements, Garogwe boasts of having five albums, namely “Ke A Gana (2011), Moratiwa Nkamogele 2013,” Le Romile Mang (2014), Sesame Ke Le Nosi (2020) and Lerato Le Monate (2022). He said all these albums were nominated for Best Jazz awards. He also said his recent achievements include winning the 2023 National Arts Festival third position for Best Live, winning the BOMU XI Awards Best Jazz Award Winner in 2022 and scooping the FNBB Best Covid Song Competition in 2020. He further explained that his vision is to support and nurture fresh talent, especially those who are still trying to find their feet in the music industry, more so that he now has a music studio.
