Zion publishes second book dubbed It Was Conviction

In an interview with Arts&Culture, Zion said her book was published in Lagos, Nigeria. She explained that the book came to fruition through divine inspiration, as she was guided by God. She said at no point did she envision penning another book on her own, but she had the urge she could not ignore. “The book consists of five chapters and spans 76 pages. My primary target audience includes individuals grappling with authenticity, those who continuously seek external validation for their actions, people-pleasers, and those who self-sabotage based on the opinions of others. It also speaks to those who find it challenging to listen to the cry of their heart and recognize that it is perfectly acceptable to be different,” she said. Furthermore, she explained that the book belonged to the self-help genre and was presented through a narrative perspective, enriched with real-life events to enhance relatability. She added that what truly struck her in writing the book was the profound sense of vulnerability, authenticity, and honesty conveyed within its pages.
She added that it was a deeply authentic piece that emphasises the importance of heeding the inner voice, as it held the answers they seek. Moreover, she explained that the feedback had been overwhelmingly positive. She added that many readers expressed that the book had empowered them to follow their heart’s desires, liberated them from the constant need for validation, and helped them overcome their tendency to please others. However, unlike most authors, Zion said she did not face significant challenges in writing that book, as the content flowed naturally from both her lived experiences and spiritual guidance. “It Was Conviction is my second published work. My debut book, It Was Necessary, was released in 2022, is also a self-help book that blends narrative storytelling with personal experiences to create a relatable and impactful message for the reader. Moving forward, I aspire to write as I am led by divine inspiration, trusting that God, in His wisdom, understands the needs of his people. My goal is for the impact of my books to extend beyond the nation, transforming lives and healing souls on a global scale,” she said. While all the chapters hold significant meaning, she pointed out that if she were to choose one, it would be Chapter Two, titled “A New Version of Self.” She explained that that chapter explored the emergence of a transformed self, a version that is whole, soul-aware, self-aware, and purpose-driven.
She said it described a person who embraced authenticity, operates from a place of inner peace and fulfillment, and positively influences those around her. She added that it was a self that has tapped into the powers of vulnerability, authenticity, and honesty, and functions in harmony with inner security and balance. It’s a liberated version of self! Additionally, Zion said, besides being an author, she is a professional psychologist, founder, and managing director of Explore Consults. She specialises in psychological issues, providing both individual and corporate solutions. She says she also served as a speaker on various platforms, both locally and internationally, addressing a wide range of topics and offering practical solutions to pressing issues. “ It Was Conviction is currently available on Amazon, Selar, the Botswana Book Centre located in Main Mall, and directly through me,' she said.
