The incident is being investigated by the police to ascertain what transpired. Maun Police Station commander, Superintendent Joseph Lepodise, said they received the report from a 52-year-old woman informing them that her son found an unknown man hanging from a tree behind her farm.
Lepodise added they then rushed to the scene and took the young man to Letsholathebe Memorial Hospital where he was certified dead on arrival by doctors.
He said the man, likely to be in his late 30s, used a wire to hang himself.
'We don't know who he is and he didn't have any kind of identification documents in his possession nor did he leave any note behind,' Lepodise explained.
'We are currently looking for his family members. The deceased is about 1.6 metres tall and was wearing (a) blue (pair of) jeans, red t/shirt, blue overall top and black boots.'
The top cop pleaded with members of the public, who have not seen or heard from any of their family member since Saturday, to head to Maun Police Station.
