Celebrated as one of Botswana’s iconic themed events in the calendar year, the 70’s and 80’s event has drawn people from all walks of life in the past 15 years, ranging from music lovers, fashion enthusiasts and party goers. Grand Palm stated that this year's event promises to be bigger and better surpassing all the disco events they have held before. “The Grand Palm Hotel Casino and Convention Resort proudly announces its highly anticipated 70’s and 80’s throwback party. This year's event is especially momentous as it commemorates 15 remarkable years of unforgettable music, entertainment and community celebration,” Malebogo Motlaleng said through a statement. In addition, she said this year's event is all about creating a different experience for their patrons that they have never got in the previous events.
“We are beyond excited to mark 15 years of this legendary event; it's more than just a party. It's a beloved tradition,” she said. As attendees are expected to look the part with their vintage looks, the theme for the event is from the soulful rhythms of the 70’s to the bold beasts of the 80’s. The dress code is iconic 70’s and 80’s celebrity glam. There is no event without musical performances, and Grand Palm promises a packed line-up that will blow the night away for the attendees
. “The entertainment line-up features renowned DJ’s including DJ Ganyani, DJ O’Neal, Shaft People, and several surprise acts guaranteed to keep the dance floor alive,” Motlaleng said.
