WHARIC CONSTRUCTION (PTY) LTD, a leading Construction Company engaged in Commercial, Industrial and residential projects invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions.
GENERAL MANAGER
The applicant should have minimum 10-15 years working experience as General Manager/Operations Manager in a medium to large construction company. The ideal candidate must have a Building/Engineering Degree with any additional qualifications in areas of Construction/Project Management and business management. Must be capable in managing the overall construction division of the company with small and large project capacity. The candidate should have working knowledge and be familiar with Candy/MS Project or similar Construction Software’s. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working alongside the appointed managers and with various department heads.
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
The applicant should have minimum 15 years post qualification experience in a similar position and should be a registered member of ARC Botswana. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Architecture with any additional qualifications on areas of designing. Sound working knowledge in Autocad/Rivet is essential. General job description includes meet clients and take brief on design requirements, prepare designs, discuss and get final approval from clients, submission of drawings for council approval, preparation of construction drawings, co-ordinate the drawings with the site team and project engineers.
SITE QUANTITY SURVEYOR
The applicant should have minimum 3-5 years post qualification experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate must have a Quantity Surveying Degree with any additional qualifications in areas of Construction/QS Management. Sound working knowledge in Candy or similar QS/Estimating software/MS Project/MS Office is essential.
CONTRACTS MANAGER–ELECTRICAL
The applicant should have minimum 8-10 years post qualification experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate must have an engineering degree or diploma with any additional qualifications in Electrical along with ERB membership. Proven working experience in managing medium/large building installation projects and sound working knowledge in MS Project/MS Office is essential.
MAINTENANCE FOREMAN
The applicant should have minimum 3-5 years working experience as foreman. The ideal candidate must have a diploma in building/construction management. The applicant should have working experience in maintaining properties, building houses, warehouses and Earthworks. Any additional qualifications in the areas of construction/project management will be an added advantage.
ARCHITETURAL DRAFTSMAN
The applicant should have a minimum of 5-7 years experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in architecture with any additional qualifications in areas of design. Sound working knowledge in Autocad/Rivet is essential.
