However Magosi, now based in Ramotswa, after buying their status at the start of the season, are starting to prove their mettle in the maiden First Division South League appearance. This past Sunday, they made their intentions clear when they walloped fellow title contenders, Tlokweng United 4-0 at the latter’s home ground in Tlokweng. Following the emphatic win, Magosi have now moved two places up the ladder.They are eight points behind log leaders, Police XI with a game in hand. They are currently sitting at position five with 17 points from 12 games. Interestingly, they are the second highest scoring side after Police XI with 13 goals scored in 12 matches. The club, which was previously owned by former Mochudi Centre Chiefs chairperson, Lux Mothulatshipi, has been acquired by Jimmy Kereng, former Township Rollers president. They are reportedly in the process of changing the trading name next season with new club owners looking to revive football in Gamalete constituency.

Meanwhile, Holy Ghost who three weeks ago looked set to be going further down to the lowest divisions, appear to have found their magic charm after registering a comfortable victory this past weekend. They are sitting at position nine with 15 points, thanks to the 3-0 win over UB Hawks. The Mmopane based side relegated from the Premier League last season with Police XI and Eleven Angels. The top of the table clash between Police XI and Young Stars ended in a goalless draw, with both sides retaining their positions at the too of the log standings. The Jungle Kings are at the summit with 25 points from 13 matches while Young Stars are second with 22 points. Tlokweng United also managed to retain their third position despite suffering a heavy defeat at the hands of Magosi. Notwane failed to take advantage and close the gap between them and other title chasers when they lost 2-0 to City Polar. Toronto are currently sitting at position four with 17 points from 11 games.

On another level, Sand Diamonds remain rooted at the bottom of the log after suffering a 2-1 loss to Taung Young Strikers. Desert Nxau played to a 0-0 draw with Prisons XI but still remain in a precarious situation.
