According to Miss Millennium 2008, Felicity Bogatsu, the pageantry is one of the most resilient pageants in the country. Bogatsu said it aims to give back to the community. She also explained that Miss Millennium is geared towards giving back to the community through a project chosen by the queen. For her part, Miss Millennium founder, Zenzel Hirschfeld, said they were happy to see the same sponsors continuing to sponsor the pageantry. She said this means they are doing something sell-able and making an impact to the lives of the community. She added that this year they selected 14 women who will be competing for the crown on March 2. However, she pointed out that selecting the finalists was not easy as a good number of women showed interest in the pageantry.

She said the pageantry attracted a number of women from different parts of the country such as Kweneng and as far as Maun. 'This year we added Wellness Day to our calendar and it will be held on March 1 and everyone is invited. The following day we will have a Financial Literacy brunch. Our pageantry aims to empower women that is why we saw the need to teach them about financial literacy. BotswanaPost, who are our main sponsors, will assist in empowering women on financial literacy and financial empowerment. We will later on unveil our contestants to the Millennium Jazz Restaurant patrons. Our grand finale will be held on March 8 and entrance fee will be P70,' she said. Hirschfeld further explained that they chose to host the grand finale on International Women's month promising to celebrate women's day in style. For her part, Miss Millennium first princess, Dorcus Choma, said the pageantry connected her with people she never imagined.

She said when she joined the pageantry, she was going through a lot after losing her daughter due to cancer. Choma explained that together with other contestants, they shared their stories and that is when she later healed and accepted her loss. She added that since she was crowned, she has been serving her community. 'I thank BotswanaPost for enabling me to bring Poso to the community. People no longer go to queue at the post offices as I have a device that gives all the services one can get from the post office. Good luck to the contestants and go have fun during the grand finale,' she said. Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Molepolole South, Shima Monageng, said Miss Millennium has touched the lives of many people. Monageng also said the queens have done a lot in changing the communities, which is commendable. He further explained that it took a lot to organise an event of that magnitude. Monageng commended the organisers for their commitment and dedication towards the pageantry and making a positive impact on the community.
