Job Title: Boilermaker

Location: North-West District, Botswana

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our dynamic team. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret basic technical drawings, diagrams and workshop manuals and execute boilermaking tasks.

- Perform maintenance repairs, welding, cutting, fabrication, installation and any other work for which they are suitably qualified.

- Knowledge of mig welding, stick and gas cutting

- Perform routine inspections on equipment/machinery and report any defects and breakdowns to the supervisor.

- Removes and replaces defective parts on equipment/machinery as required.

- Knowledge and proper use of specialized equipment and power tools e.g electric drills, grinders, impact wrenches, cutting torches, mag-based drills, welders, etc.

- Create and maintain job cards.

- Be able to work overtime and be available for callouts should the need arise.

- Open to remote work if required.

- Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards.

Competencies:

- Proven 5 years’ experience as a Boilermaker, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

- Proficiency in welding, cutting, and metal fabrication techniques.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Commitment to safety and quality.

- Mine experience will be an added benefit.

Qualifications:

- National Craft Certificate in Welding and Fabrication or a related field

- Coded Welding Certificate will be an advantage

- Valid Class B Driver’s License
