Notice of Intention to Transfer Tribal Land to a Non-Citizen in Term of Section 34 (1) of Tribal Land Act No.1 of 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following proposed transaction to be entered into between:

Parties:

TRANSFEROR: Raboroko Estates Proprietary Limited, a company incorporated in Botswana under registration number BW00001184205

TRANSFERREE: BEN JOHN RUARKE SEAGER

Description of the Property:

CERTAIN: piece of land being Tribal Lot 11456 Maun

SITUATE: at Maun Village in the Batawana Tribal Territory

MEASURING: 919m2 (Nine Hundred and Nineteen Square Metres)

HELD UNDER: Memorandum of Agreement of Lease No. FTTL 878/2010 dated 21st December 2010 between TAWANA LAND BOARD and RABOROKO ESTATES PROPRIETARY LIMITED

PURPOSE: residential

SUBJECT: to the conditions contained in the aforesaid Memorandum of Agreement of Lease.

CONSIDERATION: A cash amount equal to BWP1,850,000-00 (One Million Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pula).

Note: the transaction will be implemented through a direct transfer of shares in Raboroko Estates Proprietary Limited which owns the Property.

By virtue of this notice, any Botswana citizen interested in entering into a similar transaction in respect of the abovementioned property shall be given priority and any person wishing to object to the proposed shall be given contention to object with reasons thereof, in writing, to Tawana Land Board after publication of this notice.
