The vendor was recently arrested following a stop, question, and search operation by the police. Confirming her arrest, Mahalapye Central Police Station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said the sachets were estimated to weigh 190 grammes. 'Looking at the quantity of the sachets, we suspect that she might have been selling dagga to members of the public. 'We have taken the substances to the laboratory for weighing and analysis whilst investigations into the matter are ongoing,' he said. Ranku further raised concern at the rise in cases of people arrested in possession of suspected drugs in his policing area. He said it's the beginning of the year but already they have recorded more than four cases of people found in possession of drugs.
