That was after the team moved level with FNB Premiership leaders, TAFIC, over the weekend. On Saturday afternoon Rollers beat Security Systems 1-0 in the FNB Premiership tie played at the Royal Aria Stadium. The Blues remain second but are now on level with points with TAFIC. The leaders over the weekend hit a speed bump and suffered a 2-0 away loss to Matebele FC at the BPSC Stadium. Karkache said his side would need to win their games on a regular basis to have a shout at the championship.
“We need to win regularly; we need to win all our games. It is important to have this mentality. We know Rollers are expected to win the league but we are not the only good team. There are teams like TAFIC,” he said. Systems could have taken the lead inside the first five minutes but Morgan Gaseitsiwe failed to get one against his former side as he shot over the bar. On the other end, Lemogang Maswena had his shot aimed at the near post saved on the ninth minute. Rollers looked to pose threats from the flanks but could not create real goal scoring chances. It remained goalless until the break. Six minutes into the second half,
Thatayaone Ramatlapeng was allowed some space inside the box and he tucked it home his first goal for the Blues on his first start. Gaseitsiwe came closer to finding the equaliser on the 56th minute but shot over the bar. On his debut, Lefa Leballo hit the side net late on the tie as Rollers bagged the maximum points on the afternoon.
